Every continental summit, some come to listen. Others come to be seen. And then there are those who come to open doors for an entire generation.
During the 39th Ordinary Assembly of the African Union, one Congolese voice stood out with elegance, determination, and strategic vision: Pascaline Mwenge entrepreneur, humanitarian, and one of the rising figures of youth leadership in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
And this time, her presence was more than symbolic. It marked a continental recognition of competence and commitment.
Recognition That Goes Beyond Personal Success

Selected among the co-facilitators responsible for training future cohorts of the COYWA program under AUDA-NEPAD, Pascaline Mwenge now joins a select continental team tasked with expanding the program across Africa’s major regional blocs COMESA, EAC, SADC, ECOWAS as well as the region of Central Africa.
A demanding mission she embraces with both pride and clarity:
“It is the DRC that wins, it is the youth that wins.”
A reminder that individual progress becomes collective opportunity when leadership is driven by purpose.
Congolese Youth Taking Its Place on the Continental Stage
In the discreet corridors of African summits, perceptions are shifting. Congolese youth are no longer portrayed as passive observers but as active contributors capable of shaping solutions in financing, training, economic inclusion, and opportunities for young people and women.
With support from partners such as the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, the program now creates tangible pathways for entrepreneurship, professional training, and economic integration for African youth.
Within this movement, Pascaline Mwenge stands out as a living bridge between continental ambitions and grassroots realities.
Gentle Satire: While Some Debate, Others Deliver
African political conversations often circle endlessly around youth empowerment. Meanwhile, a new generation is already building practical solutions.
Pascaline Mwenge belongs to that rare category of leaders who choose results over rhetoric and action over promises. Quietly efficient, yet impactful enough to unsettle those who still believe youth must wait for permission.
A Victory That Goes Beyond One Person
Her rise within this continental program is not merely personal success. It signals the emergence of a Congolese generation that refuses to remain on the margins of African decision-making.
If this historic moment could be summed up simply:
When one young Congolese woman moves forward, an entire generation moves with her.
